DANCE NOVA SCOTIA is the umbrella service organization for all forms of dance in Nova Scotia. Founded in 1974 and incorporated in 1975, it is one of eight provincial cultural service organizations that comprise the Cultural Federations of Nova Scotia, which are funded by the province. We work to keep our community programming free so we can bring dance into the lives of all Nova Scotians.

Through programs like Dance for Health Seniors and Dance for Health Parkinson's, we work with provincial and national organizations to ensure that dance is accessible to all ages. We also advocate for art in education and believe that the arts bring the full spectrum of learning potential to our youth. Dance Nova Scotia is a registered charitable organization governed by a Board of Directors elected from the community.
