About the Charity: Beatrice Hunter Cancer Research Institute (BHCRI) and the Cancer Researcher Training Program
BHCRI was created within Dalhousie University in 2009 to foster a collaborative, productive, and capacity-building cancer research effort in Atlantic Canada.
The BIG RIDE proudly supports BHCRI’s Cancer Research Training Program. Together, we are creating the health research problem-solvers of tomorrow, with visions of finding faster diagnoses, better treatments, and ultimately, cures for the complex disease that is cancer.
Based in Halifax, Nova Scotia, the Beatrice Hunter Cancer Research Institute brings together a diverse community of cancer researchers in pursuit of a common goal: to save lives and ease the burden of cancer on individuals, families, and communities. The BIG RIDE June 20-22, 2025
This year, riders will cycle along the Celtic Shores Coastal Trail ending in beautiful Inverness. Over three days, participants will bike & hike and take in world-class scenery and enjoy down-home hospitality that only Cape Breton can offer!
