BUCHANAN MARCH - 2017-2018 - MAKE-A-WISH CANADA

This is the month of May and, as is the tradition here at Collège catholique Franco-Ouest, we are preparing for our annual march, the Marche Buchanan. This important event in our school year is a time for the entire Franco-Ouest school community to demonstrate its solidarity in order to help a cause close to its heart.

This year, during one of the Action periods, our proud Vikings had the chance to discuss the importance of social involvement. Following these stimulating discussions, the students decided to join their collective efforts to contribute to the realization of children's dreams.

This is how the money raised with our Marche Buchanan, in honor of a staff member who died of cancer, will be donated to the Make-a-Wish Foundation. Through various activities, students will be called upon to contribute to this cause.  In addition, this year, our Grade 10 students of the International Baccalaureate’s MYP program are heading up the event.
