About CONNECTRA SOCIETY

CONNECTRA works in partnership with people who have physical disabilities to reduce the barriers that may limit them in fully participating in community life. Our goal is to connect people with physical disabilities to the community at large on a number of levels.

We create connections by encouraging and facilitating a range of interactions beginning with social and recreational activities, followed by work and volunteering. Establishing positive interactions reduces isolation and generates self-confidence, motivation and self-esteem.

CONNECTRA succeeds based on the fact that people with physical disabilities have a lot to contribute to their communities. When people connect with each other, new ideas and opportunities become known. Help and support comes from people and places that were not previously available and enables individuals to pursue - and achieve - their goals and dreams.
