100% life change
Moving from this changes lives.Women often say that they just want to keep their families dry during the rainy season when roofs leak and streams run through their homes, turning the floors to mud and dangerous mould becomes king.
Since 2009, CIDC has blessed 24 families with the gift of a new home. Water, sewer and electricity, a new washing machine, a real floor and a roof that stays dry. Even a key to lock the door.An amazing new home for Josepina, Esteban and their 3 children. Since 2009, CIDC has blessed 24 families with the gift of a new home. Water, sewer and electricity, a new washing machine, a real floor and a roof that stays dry. Even a key to lock the door.
CIDC builds new homes using volunteers and local labour, giving jobs to people in the neighbourhoods. Priority is given to families with a person with a disability.

We change 100% too
Working side by side changes livesAs Canadians we have a lot to give and so much more to learn. Working alongside our Mexican teams for a day, a week or longer helps others and gives us a huge 'take home' as well.
We have so much to learn when we are living and working in another culture. Volunteers gain a new perspective on poverty, social justice and lives lived in a joyfulness we often don't find in Canada.
