About Community Cats Toronto
Community Cats Toronto is an organization dedicated to helping unowned community cats through Trap-Neuter-Vaccinate-Return (TNVR) education, advocacy, public outreach, and data collection to support and monitor the efficacy of municipality-supported TNVR programs. We are an all-volunteer charity that believes the way to humanely reduce the community cat overpopulation crisis is through coordinated TNVR efforts that sterilize a high volume of cats and stop the cycle of reproduction. Our Coalition partners help certified trappers rescue young kittens and strays from colonies and find them homes, and support the programs of the Toronto Feral Cat Coalition which includes a cat food bank for colony caretakers, winter shelter building, and hosting digital communities where caretakers can find expert advice.
We work alongside Toronto Animal Services, Toronto Humane Society, Toronto Cat Rescue, Animal Alliance of Canada, Annex Cat Rescue, Toronto Street Cats, and the Ontario SPCA with the common goal of reducing the cat population and decreasing cat euthanasias in shelters in Toronto. Together, we are making this happen!
