Who We Are
Established in 1988, Community Care Northumberland is a not-for-profit organization that provides nutrition, transportation, wellness, in-home and hospice services to residents of Northumberland County. Our programs and services help seniors, adults with disabilities, those recovering from illness or injury and hospice clients, their loved ones and caregivers.
CCN offers services that cover the needs of our client base. Our staff, partners and volunteers maintain trust, dignity and respect for one another and our clients. This enables us to maintain our high standard of service to our Northumberland communities.
CCN programs include Meals on Wheels, Friendly Visits, Community Diners, Transportation and Stretcher services, Home Support, and Hospice Palliative Care.
Community Care Northumberland is the leading agency overseeing the operation of Ed's House Northumberland Hospice Care Centre, a homelike setting where our pledge is to do everything possible to ensure comfort for those approaching the end of their journey. Ed’s House provides hospice palliative care 24 hours a day, seven days a week, at no cost to clients.
Additionally, Ed’s House is the home of the Palliative Care Community Team, and Visiting Hospice, providing support and services to individuals diagnosed with life limiting illness and their families.
