My adventures have generally taken place on water, but this July I will climb the highest mountain peak in Africa. Mt. Kilimanjaro's snow-capped peak towers 19,341 feet (5,895 meters) above sea level and the climb will take 9 days to complete.
I'm dedicating my climb to children's literacy. Teaching a child to read can facilitate academic success, ignite their imagination and open the door to a more prosperous, hopeful, and fulfilling life for them, their family and their community.
The funds I raise - and 100% of your donation - will go towards a new CODE children’s literacy project in Tanzania which will expand access to high-quality, locally relevant books and build teachers’ capacity to promote a culture of reading in their classrooms.
