Throughout July and August, I will be putting miles on my Keen hikers, along with the Canadian Neuroendocrine community to raise research funds for CNETS. Neuroendocrine cancer is a rare malignant cancer (albeit now, one of the fastest growing class of cancers worldwide) with shades of grey in aggressiveness. Unfortunately, because the symptoms are diverse and NETS occur anywhere in the body, it is often not diagnosed until late stage.The Canadian Neuroendocrine Society is a small organization, primarily composed of volunteers and runs on a shoe string budget. The support they provide NET patients is invaluable through awareness, education, advocacy and research.
