I've been fighting Pancreatic NET cancer for over 16 years now due to a rare cancer that killed my Mom, 2 Aunts and my Grandfather, and other people in my family are fighting this battle as well. Right now, there are few treatments for my condition. I was only offered a huge life-changing surgery to remove most of my pancreas and my spleen to try to fight the cancer from taking over my body
My team and I will be participating in the Virtual CNETS fundraiser called "Hoofing it" where we are raising money for NeuroEndocrine cancer research. We will be walking or doing other activities daily to add to the virtual trek across Canada.
We need to get this research and more treatment options underway to help future generations have better odds for fighting this cancer.
