This summer as I mark the one-year anniversary of my NET cancer journey, I ask you to please consider donating to the Canadian Neuroendocrine Tumour Society’s HoofingIt2023 in support of Neuroendocrine Cancer Research.
Between July 1st and September 8th, the Canadian neuroendocrine cancer community will be Hoofing It across Canada in an effort to raise $60,000. My contribution to the Hoofing It campaign will be to run 200km and raise $4000.
NET Cancer is the fastest growing class of cancer worldwide. Although there have been many advances in the past several years for diagnosis and treatment, the only curative therapy currently available is the surgical removal of very small, localized tumours.
There remains so much that can be done to improve the quality of life for those living with this cancer. We know that the scientific advances that have been made in the treatment and cure of other cancers will also be possible for NET patients someday!
