I was first introduced to CNETS in 2012 while researching pNET treatment options for our family's close friend Douglas. We travelled to Ottawa together and attended the CNETS patient conference, which was instrumental in providing information, support and community for Douglas to live well throughout his illness and to have the best chance at prolonging his life.
Little did I know that in 2014 I would fall incredibly in love with my partner Daniel who had also been diagnosed with the same disease. Again, CNETS was there to support Dan and to allow him to live mightly, through and through.
Today, Dan's rescue PomChi Wheels and I are walking 500km to raise money for CNETS. Our goal is to support their important mission of funding research, providing information, advocacy and a support community to people diagnosed with this rare and life-altering disease.
