Making tracks to tackle cancer

I was diagnosed with neuroendocrine cancer in October 2018. I'm very happy to be here nearly 5 years later. There have been quite a few challenges along the way. I have been very fortunate to have had the support of family and friends during that time. The medical care provided to me at the Buhler Cancer Centre in Winnipeg's Victoria General Hospital has been excellent. CancerCare Manitoba has been the foundation of that care.

As I write this, I am hoping to transition to a targeted radiation therapy in the next few months. When I look back at the various treatments that I have already had and then look forward to what the future will hold, one of the things that impresses me the most is the exceptional amount of medical science that must have been done to create them.

All of the money raised by this Hoofing It fundraiser, organized by the Canadian Neuroendocrine Tumour Society, will by granted to projects specifically aimed at this uncommon form of cancer.

I understand that the world is full of organizations seeking your charitable dollars. Thank you for taking the time to consider this one.
