Clean Water for Haiti works to provide Haitian families with access to clean water through the use of Bio-sand water filters.
Clean Water for Haiti exists to help Haitian families get access to clean water through the use of Bio-sand water filters, and to provide necessary sanitation and hygiene education.
Through our on the ground partner, the Clean Water for Haiti Foundation in Haiti, we are able to employ local Haitians to build and install the Bio-sand filters in Haitian homes, not only providing household access to clean water, but also creating local employment.
We believe in empowering people to be part of the solution by running a subsidized filter program where families choose to buy their filter. We believe in improving how we work by constantly assessing our programs and finding ways to be more effective and efficient. We believe in working sustainably so that families in Haiti can have a long term solution to Haiti's water crisis.
