CoSA SS through trained volunteers provides friendship to persons who are returning to the community after a lengthy prison sentence for serious offences.  Our goal is community safety and no more victims, through proven ways of assisting those who wish to change and be contributing members of communities to which they move.

Funds are used to pay for a professional coordinator, a part-time office staff and program costs related to volunteer support including travel to distances of more than 50 kms, training and continuing education.  

Friendship results in inclusion, contribution and positive involvement in community, isolation results in alienation, anger and loss of safety in community.
