CISV (formerly Children's International Summer Villages) is an international peace education organization operating in over 60 countries around the world, with over 200 local chapters. In Canada, there are 12 local chapters from coast to coast and we are always looking for new folks to be involved, as well as donations to help keep us running as a completely volunteer-run organization.

CISV does

host international programmes for children and youth aged 11 up. These programmes encourage openness and respect towards all people, promote tolerance and understanding of different cultures and attitudes, initiate friendship despite nationality or beliefs, and promote non-violent conflict resolutions.
