About CHILDREN'S ABILITY FUND
The Children's Ability Fund is one of Alberta's oldest and longest serving charities, celebrating its 70th anniversary this year. Established in 1947 we continue today to provide funding for specialized equipment for children and young adults throughout Alberta.
The majority of our grants are for equipment related to "mobility" or the ability to be more active at home, at school, at work and at play. This may include wheelchairs, walkers, strollers, lifts (overhead, stair lifts or outside access) and other related equipment.
In addition to individual equipment requests, we may offer special programs to address others needs in the community.
