I am running again to raise funds to get kids in Northern India into a clean, safe and sanitary dormitory. Child of Mine has close ties with Kelowna and supports two orphanages in Northern India, one of which is undergoing a capital building project. These kids need a building in which to live that is not infested with bugs - this is an incredible opportunity to help shape the leaders of the future in Northern India.
$500,000 is needed to complete this new building at one of the dorms, and we are about half way there. My goal is to run the BMO Vancouver Half Marathon and raise $2000 to contribute towards this incredible project.
You may know that I really hate running (!), and have a goal of breaking 2 hours for the Half Marathon. I have never run faster than 2:13 on this particular course, so this is a lofty goal!! I'm looking for contributions of $50-$100, but any amount is very gratefully received. Thank you so much!!
