Welcome to the Child Advocacy Centre of Kelowna: a safe place of hope, help, and healing for children who have experienced abuse and neglect.
The CAC was designed to ensure that children who have experienced trauma feel safe, supported and important. This is a space full of colour and light, full of hope and promise. It is a space where vulnerable children can begin a journey toward healing. Where they can find support from the various agencies dedicated to their protection and wellbeing. Where they can feel a sense of calm during a difficult time.
Every square inch of the facility was carefully envisioned to create that feeling of warmth and security where children who have been brave enough to come forward can speak their truth and be heard.
The CAC is a place where we get to help children move beyond their difficult story of abuse and help them find their way back to their childhood. Where play is celebrated, and curiosity is encouraged. Every toy, every book is carefully chosen to support that journey.
