Overview
Join York University and Charlie's FreeWheels for the world premiere of Changing Gears, a short documentary about bicycles and their power to propel social development. The film will be preceded by a panel discussion moderated by York University's chief sustainability officer, Mike Layton featuring CFW's Vice President and Co-Chair Adam Hasham, York University Associate Professor Alejandro Zamora and founder of the Women's Cycling Network, Najia Zewari.

Changing Gears traces the diverse journeys of three community organizations operating in Canada (Charlie's FreeWheels), Nicaragua (Comision de Mujer Joven), and Uganda (Union of Hope) in their efforts to use bicycles for more just, equitable and sustainable futures.
The film will be preceded by a panel discussion moderated by York University's chief sustainability officer, Mike Layton, and will explore how bicycles can help shape Toronto's future.
Tickets are available on a pay-what-you-can basis and event proceeds will help support CFW programming. Donations $20 and over are eligible for a charitable tax receipt.
