about

Charles Macdonald is widely known as Nova Scotia's Uncommon, Common Man. The  Concrete House Museum contains and exhibits the life works of Charles and Mabel Macdonald.

Every donation of $10 or more automatically enrols the contributor as a member of the organization.

Membership to the Charles Macdonald House of Centreville helps us preserve his unique properties, artwork, and legacy for generations to come.

Your donation helps with restoring the Concrete House, running of the galleries, houses, and grounds of this unique historic property.

What people are saying

There are many historic homes in my riding with historical significance, but none is as unique as the Charles Macdonald House, and it is folk art on a grand scale with unique materiality by being the first house built of concrete in Nova Scotia.
