The Sarah Sommer Chai Folk Ensemble is North America's oldest & largest Israeli folk troupe. Founded in 1964, Chai has built an international reputation for the unique blend of dance, music & song that gives it its name...Hebrew for "alive". A truly all-encompassing cultural experience, Chai is made up of over 30 dancers, singers & musicians - performing exclusively to live musical accompaniment. Chai's repertoire includes music from every corner of the world where Jewish culture has existed including Israel, Morocco, Russia, Brazil, Africa, Greece, Spain and more.
