Trustee Laurie French has actively served six terms as a trustee with the Limestone District School Board since 2000, representing Greater Napanee, with experience as Chair and Vice-Chair of the Board for 8 years. Laurie has also served in an executive capacity on both the Ontario Public School Boards Association and is the current President of the Canadian School Boards Association.

Laurie's lifelong commitment to student learning, development and well-being makes the establishment of The Trustee Laurie French Youth Leadership Fund a perfect fit with her interest and commitment to philanthropy as the outgoing President of the CFFLA.

Upon maturity the Trustee Laurie French Youth Leadership Fund will disburse annual grants to senior student leadership projects taking place in secondary schools of the Limestone District School Board that are located within the County of Lennox and Addington. These Student Leadership Grants will continue in perpetuity.
