VIRTUAL WALK FOR THE CENTRE

Raising funds for Centretown Churches Social Action Committee

Campaign Ended October 29, 2021

A Virtual Walk of 2km or 4km

October 3rd, 1-4 pm

In past years we walked 2km or 4km TOGETHER to show the necessity of working together to provide food security for all those in our community. It has always been fun with much enthusiastic participation, but this year, due to Covid-19, we need to once again make our Walk virtual. Centretown Churches Social Action Committee ( CCSAC) invites you to walk in your neighborhood or your favorite greenspace, by yourself or with your family in keeping with Ottawa Public Health guidelines to raise funds for Centretown Emergency Food Centre. Set up an individual or team fundraising page here or join a team to help raise funds for the Centre. Donate here!

Please visit our website for more information on the work we do https://www.centretownchurches.org and our Facebook page for updates on the Walk. https://www.facebook.com/CentreTownChurches

More than 9000 people used the Centretown Emergency Food Centre in 2019. The clients of the Centre know what hunger is.

Come, join us as we help our neighbors. Print off a sign or make your own one to display in your window or to hold as you walk. Do send us a photo of you walking to remind us in the future of this historic Walk. Raise awareness and help collect funds to support those using the Centretown Emergency Food Centre. There are several people in central Ottawa who could really use your help.

We would like to acknowledge our generous business sponsors and grocery partners who have graciously and enthusiastically supported us in our fundraising efforts. https://www.centretownchurches.org/walkathon-sponsors/

A donation of just $10 helps the Food Centre make a grocery order with a value of $60.

Thank you for your support and we look forward to October 3rd!
