To work in an integrated, trauma informed environment to treat abused children, youth, and their families, support their recovery and seek to stop the cycle of abuse.

About Us

The Central Alberta Child Advocacy Centre is a not for profit organization rooted in the protection and recovery of today’s most innocent and vulnerable – our children. Together with our partners and stakeholders – Central Region Children’s Services, Central Alberta Sexual Assault Support Centre, Alberta Health Services, Alberta Justice, Alberta Education and the RCMP – we provide integrated services that ensure that a child can share their story, and have it safely heard.

Our team of dedicated professionals provide a coordinated approach that supports the recovery of the children, youth and families affected by abuse, helping them to overcome adversity with the promise and possibility of a healthy future.

It takes courage and bravery for a child to share their story of abuse. It takes courage for families to bring their children forward, and it takes courage to believe, to listen without judgment, and to seek justice. Prevention and awareness of child abuse is the most important step in changing the way our community responds to child abuse.

We provide educational services to help identify and report abuse in our community and school system. We will continue to educate the community, child care providers, educators and any organization serving children until no child is abused.
