The Agape Centre is the largest food bank in Cornwall. We support an average of 1200 people monthly in our food bank and 165 people each weekday in our soup kitchen. With the Covid-19 restrictions causing closures of local businesses, our numbers have already started to increase. People with food bank appointments are given prepared food hampers and crisis bags are available for anyone in immediate need.

To compensate for the closure of our soup kitchen, we are offering people lunch bags to sustain five lunches throughout the week. Our social enterprise and major source of revenue, the New For You thrift store, has been closed since March 20, 2020. Without this source of revenue we have to rely solely on donations from the community and local business partners. The Agape Centre is an essential service that is relied upon by many people in our community.

We need the support of our community as a whole to ensure that people are supported and receive the food they need.
