CCV keep seniors and people with disabilities in their homes by offering transportation, companionship and other light maintenance services.
Every year more than 300 members of the Greater Victoria community are able to remain in their homes thanks to the one-on-one volunteer services they receive from Capital City Volunteers. By offering services such as gardening, companionship and driving to medical appointments CCV provides support to isolated seniors and adults with disabilities, improving their quality of life and allowing them to continue to live independently in their own homes.
Every person we keep out of an assisted living facility saves our community thousands of dollars each year. Not only can this money be directed to other much-needed services, but clients who remain in their own homes experience a better emotional state and feel they are contributing members of society.
