The Door Is Open is a drop-in ministry that provides food, clothing, counselling, shelter services and referrals, and a warm and safe environment in the heart of Vancouver’s Downtown Eastside, a neighborhood recognized for the highest concentration of the poorest urban population in the whole of Canada.

Our consistent service, positive role models, and unconditional acceptance are what have allowed us to develop a trusting friendship with our patrons. It is our hope that this environment will support our patrons and give them the chance to improve their lives.
