Rescuing relocated cats from the remote wilderness & helping owners find their lost cats in the Comox Valley.
CATS is a rescue located in the Comox Valley on beautiful Vancouver Island in British Columbia, Canada. Cats is 100% volunteer run and donation funded.
CATS mission is to promote the welfare of animals for the benefit of the public by providing educational resources and workshops; rescuing lost, stray, abandoned, abused or surrendered cats; operating an adoption program; and spaying or neutering domestic pets, feral or stray animals.
CATS is dedicated to enriching the lives of cats by helping people understand feline behaviour and rescuing relocated and lost cats. The CATS team strives to educate the public and to aid them in living harmoniously with cats and to reunite lost cats with their people, assisting them with reintegration.
In 2019, the inaugural year for CATS, 59 cats were rescued, most from remote rural areas where they were relocated, usually dumped there by an unhappy neighbour. These are the cats that The Cat Advocates focus on rescuing as they would otherwise be forgotten and left alone to fend for themselves.
