Cariboo-Chilcotin Partners for Literacy is comprised of community members committed to promoting literacy through awareness, advocacy and by initiating and supporting learning opportunities.

We work collaboratively and in partnership with others in response to individual and community needs focused on marginalized learners and to inspire lifelong learning.​

Literacy is a basic tool for living - it is essential to daily life, employment, citizenship, personal enjoyment, health and wellbeing. CCPL was established in response to literacy as a serious social and economic issue in the Cariboo-Chilcotin. CCPL was formed in 1997 and incorporated in 2000 as a non-profit organization.

Our members and staff are actively involved in promoting literacy by making presentations, delivering services, fundraising and participating in special events to raise public awareness around literacy issues.
