The Cancer Assistance Program provides free services for individuals affected by cancer.
The Cancer Assistance Program (CAP) provides free services for individuals affected by cancer. Services are intended to alleviate the financial burden associated with a cancer diagnosis, create access and remove barriers to care and improve day-to-day quality of life. Services include:
1. transportation to and from cancer-related medical appointments;
2. parking at the Juravinski Cancer Centre (JCC) and Juravinski Hospital;
3. home health equipment loans; and
4. monthly issuances of oral nutritional supplements and adult incontinence products as well as access to wigs and alternative head coverings, mastectomy bras and breast prostheses.
With the exception of the transportation services, which are exclusively for residents of the greater region of Hamilton, services are also available for surrounding communities and anyone accessing the JCC for treatment.
