Overview

Join Us for the Triumphant Return of the Transplant Trot!

After a three-year pause due to the challenges posed by COVID, we are thrilled to announce that BC - CTA (Canadian Transplant Association) is once again hosting the Transplant Trot! The Transplant Trot is a vibrant and inclusive 1 and 5 km fun run/walk that serves a dual purpose - to raise awareness about the power of organ and tissue donation, and to foster connections within the Transplant Community while inspiring a healthier lifestyle for all.

Why Join the Transplant Trot: The Transplant Trot is more than just a run/walk; it's an opportunity to be a changemaker! By taking part in this event, you'll contribute to raising crucial awareness about the life-changing effects of organ and tissue donation. Every step you take, every moment you spend with us, will bring us closer to saving lives and offering hope to those awaiting transplants.

Embrace a Healthier Lifestyle: Beyond raising awareness, the Transplant Trot promotes the importance of embracing a healthy lifestyle. Through unity and support within the Transplant Community, we encourage participants to pursue active, balanced, and fulfilling lives. Together, we celebrate life, giving thanks to the selfless donors who have made it possible for countless recipients to experience a new beginning.

About This Charity

The CTA is a charitable organization whose vision is to improve the health outcomes of transplant recipients by promoting the message of post-transplant healthy living. A registered charity, the CTA was launched by a group of individuals passionate about showcasing the benefits of organ donation. Almost 35 years later, we have volunteers across the country raising awareness and creating community for transplant recipients, donor families, living donors, and their families. We also engage with health care providers and other advocacy groups on matters relating to the health and wellness of transplant patients. The CTA is 100% powered by volunteers on the national, provincial and regional levels.
