About Julian Taylor:

With a soulful voice and captivating stage presence, Julian Taylor’s unique blend of blues, roots, and folk music has earned him a growing fanbase and critical acclaim not only in Canada but also in Europe and the US. He’s earned four Juno Award nominations (including one this year for Roots Album of the Year for “Beyond The Reservoir”) , along with six Canadian Folk Music Award nominations for Solo Artist and English Songwriter of the Year.  He won Solo Artist in 2022.  Julian has five Native American Music Award nominations, plus a nomination for Canada’s most prestigious music accolade, the Polaris Music Prize.

After 25 years in music, building an unimpeachable reputation as a truly independent artist and entrepreneur, Julian Taylor now owns his legacy. From the formative rock of Staggered Crossing to the genre fusion of Julian Taylor Band, and now his revered work as a solo singer-songwriter, Julian owns the right to it all and it couldn’t have happened at a better time.

About This Charity

The Canadian Museum of Immigration at Pier 21 is Canada’s sixth national museum. Our mission is to share the ongoing story of immigration to Canada—past to present and coast to coast to coast. The Museum is located in the Pier 21 national historic site at the Halifax seaport where nearly one million immigrants landed in Canada from 1928 to 1971. From immigration terminal to national historic site to national museum of immigration, our own story of becoming has its twists and turns.
