Overview

Everyone deserves to feel well, whatever their mental health experience. To support mental health for all, and in order to build resilient communities, we all need a good sense of self, that facilitates purpose, contribution, hope, and belonging.

When we hide from each other and from how we’re feeling, we don’t get the support or help we deserve or need.

Walk, Run, Ride Don’t Hide gives thousands of people across Canada the opportunity to connect—to their own mental health, to each other and to their broader communities, while raising critical funds that support CMHA mental health programs and services in their own communities.

Walk, Run, Ride Don’t Hide events are welcoming community events that build awareness, inclusion and acceptance, and where everyone is encouraged and supported to speak openly about their own mental health.

To achieve our vision of ‘Mental Health for All’, all funds raised will go into providing nonclinical community and resilience based mental health and addiction supports, services and programs to aid in keeping ‘healthy Nova Scotians healthy’ through providing recovery maintenance supports for those living with mental ill health and addictions related issues.

It was such an amazing day of support, community, and fun! our 2018 goal was to raise $30,000, which we didn't quite reach, but we still have hope that we can reach it in 2019, and we can’t do it without you!

Feeling the competitive spirit? We would love to have you register a team. It’s easy to form a team! Set your fundraising goal and ask your friends, family, and coworkers to join you.Typically each team member strives towards raising $1,000, however, we are open to your recommendation and advice on setting an achievable fundraising goal.

Visit our fundraising page to fundraise on your own or as a team!
