Kulanu Canada was incorporated in 2012 to assist dispersed and isolated Jewish communities that are emerging or re-emerging and wish to connect with the wider Jewish world and have defined their specific needs. These could include but are not limited to: access to Jewish education, access to Jewish ritual objects, texts, liturgy, music. Communities may wish to learn how to organize spiritual or festive events, invite volunteer teachers and rabbis to visit to teach or support their religious development. This Canadian charity is learning from its American counterpart which has existed for several decades and aided congregations, Chaverot, and small groups from Africa to Papua New Guinea, across Latin and Central America, in southern Italy and northern Portugal. Communities of Anousim also exist in Southern USA.
