This September I will once again be embarking on our 3 day ride from Hamilton Fire Training Centre to the Canadian Fallen Firefighters Memorial in Ottawa. The ride will leave Hamilton on September 4th and arrive in Ottawa on the September 6th covering over 575km.
The purpose of the ride is to raise funds and awareness for the CFFF and to recognize this year’s names as well as the more than 2,000 names already on the wall.
The Canadian Fallen Firefighters Foundation is a charitable organization that operates solely on fundraising to operate. The Foundation also provides financial subsidies to the families of the fallen to attend the memorial in Ottawa. It also provides support programs along with Scholarships and bursaries for the children of spouses of Firefighters whose line of duty death is recognized by the foundation.
