This year I will be participating in the Canadian Fallen Firefighters Memorial Ride to Ottawa. The ride will leave Hamilton on Wednesday, September 4th, 2024. This will be a three-day ride to Ottawa following the Lakeshore to Kingston and then north to Ottawa arriving at the memorial on Friday, September 6th 2024.
The ride is open to all active and retired firefighters, The purpose of the ride is to raise funds and awareness for the Canadian Fallen Firefighters Foundation (CFFF), which hosts the annual Canadian Firefighters Memorial (www.cfff.ca) to honor, remember and support the families of firefighters whose lives were lost in the line of duty.
This year’s Memorial takes place on Sunday, September 8th, 2024 at the Canadian Firefighters Memorial in Ottawa. We will be riding in memory of the over 1800 names already included of fallen firefighters from across Canada and the territories, dating back to the late 1800s.
