Our Mission

The Canadian Coast Guard Auxiliary (CCGA) is a non-profit organization dedicated to Search and Rescue (SAR). 

The Canadian Coast Guard Auxiliary’s mission is to save lives on the water and promote safe boating.

Our Vision

The Canadian Coast Guard Auxiliary aspires to become the premier volunteer water rescue and safety organization by:

About CANADIAN COAST GUARD AUXILIARY (NATIONAL) INC

The Canadian Coast Guard Auxiliary (CCGA) is a nonprofit organisation, and a registered charity made up of volunteer resources throughout Canada.

The CCGA has been in existence since 1978 and provides assistance to the Coast Guard and the National Defense with search and rescue and safe boating programs.

Among numerous recognitions, in 1997, the CCGA received the Award of excellence for an outstanding contribution to transportation in Canada.

In 1998, the Chief Executive Officer of the Auxiliary was also presented with the Outstanding SAR Achievement Award from the National Search and Rescue Secretariat.
