about

Our Vision

  • Canada is a leading nation in boccia and Canadians with physical disabilities have access to quality sport programming.

Our Mission

  • We lead, develop and grow boccia from grassroots to producing World Champions, and we collaborate with partners to increase participation of Canadians with physical disabilities in sport.

Our Values

Excellence: We strive for excellence in our organization, our people, and our performance, both on and off the field of play

Resilience: When things get tough, we hang in there, and adapt to overcome challenges and obstacles

Inclusivity: We create a safe, welcoming, and inclusive space for everyone to participate

Collaboration: We work as a collective, towards our shared goals

Integrity: We stand-up for what is right, and act honestly

Bratz@Home

Through the 2021 Bratz@Home program, eighty children, youth and adults with disabilities received free boccia equipment and coaching support to develop their boccia skills. The goal of the program is to encourage grassroots boccia development in Canada.

Frame Running

Frame Running is an athletic discipline for people with cerebral palsy or related neuromuscular disorders. It gives the athletes the opportunity to move freely on their feet without the risk of falling. In October 2021, the CCPSA, in collaboration with the Athletics Ontario and the Ontario Cerebral Palsy Sports Association, delivered a pilot program to introduce Frame Running in Toronto. The CCPSA is also in discussions to help develop an athlete pathway for frame running in Canada.

What people are saying

Eden has improved on his hand-eye coordination and his upper extremity strength from throwing each ball (Bratz@Home). Another large improvement from Eden is working on his grasping skills, where he has improved on opening both hands wide to be able to grip the ball.
