Without access to spay/neuter services or basic medical care, dog and cat overpopulation grows rapidly—leading to preventable suffering, disease, and far too many animals with nowhere to go. Litters are born with no homes waiting for them, dogs form packs just to survive, and female dogs endure pregnancy after pregnancy with no relief.

The Canadian Animal Assistance Teams (CAAT) provides free, preventative veterinary care directly to these communities through dedicated volunteer teams. We address the problem at its source, preventing unwanted litters, improving the health and safety of female dogs, and ensuring fewer animals face a life without care.
