In operation for 100 years, Camp Kawartha has evolved into an award-winning year-round outdoor education centre, environment centre and summer camp. Our mission is to inspire environmental stewards of all ages through dynamic, accessible, outdoor programming and environmental programming. We foster sustainable living practices and we encourage young environmental leaders to make a difference in their own communities.
From September to June our education team delivers over 80 curriculum-linked programs at our main site on Clear Lake, and at our Environment Centre located on the campus of Trent University. Through July and August we welcome campers aged 4 to 17 years who reside in the region, around the province, across the country, and throughout the world. We strive to create a caring community of engaged youth who learn about the importance of trust, commitment, and teamwork - about caring for one another and the earth that supports us all.
We are inspiring environmental and human stewardship now and for the future.
