Camp Harmattan exists to rejuvenate, recalibrate, and refocus an individual’s relationship with God inside of an authentic and growing community.

We value the development of communal relationships, creative learning, missional experiences, transformational environments, Christian formation, and strong stewardship practices.

We are working on creating an environment where life-change can occur out of the regular pattern of life.  We understand that life-change can take on many different facets but our goal is to take an individual and place them in a healthy community and then to send them back into their regular community equipped to affect change in their community.

We believe our mandate is broad as we work with a variety of people from single adults to married people, from students to senior adults, from single parents to grandparents and from singular families to extended families.

About Camp Harmattan Association

Camp Harmattan has existed in the Little Red Deer river valley since 1955 and is owned by the Canada West District of the Church of the Nazarene. It is our hope, desire, and prayer that campers experience the life giving peace that comes from being in God's creation. Camp Harmattan serves Kids/youth camps throughout the summer, a large family camp, and many rental groups year round. We offer many activities including; a climbing wall, archery, spiritual formation spaces, crafts and more! In addition, Camp Harmattan has about 250 camp sites open for camping throughout the summer months.
