About CALGARY CRIME STOPPERS ASSOCIATION
Started in Calgary in 1982 (the first Crime Stoppers program in Canada), the Calgary Crime Stoppers Association is a community, media and police co-operative program designed to involve the public in the fight against crime.
Crime Stoppers provides citizens with a way to anonymously provide law enforcement with information about unsolved crimes.
Crime Stoppers provides cash rewards for information that leads to an arrest, the recovery of stolen property, or the seizure of illegal drugs.
Crime Stoppers is administered by a volunteer board of directors and is a registered charity supported through donations of money and/or goods and services. Donations are used to cover the costs of the rewards, administration and the on-going promotion of the program.
