Our longstanding presence in the community is a testament to our deep understanding of the unique needs and aspirations of Indigenous people in Winnipeg. We offer tailored services both in-house and through strategic community-based projects, ensuring a personal and impactful approach to empowerment and growth.
Our success is fueled by strong partnerships with other Indigenous organizations, industry leaders, post-secondary institutions, philanthropic agencies, and government bodies. These collaborations have allowed us to create a diverse range of programs that not only cater to immediate employment needs, but also lay the foundation for long-term career development and personal success.
Your support is vital to our mission. Donations to CAHRD contribute to:
- Enhancing and expanding our educational and training programs to remain responsive to the evolving needs of our community.
- Developing new partnerships and projects that open more doors to employment opportunities for Indigenous individuals.
- Strengthening our support services to equip our participants with the essential tools and resources for success.
Your support can also reach into the hearts and lives of those facing daily struggles. Many of our students come to school hungry, confronting the harsh realities of food insecurity. Here are some examples of how your generous contributions can bring immediate relief and hope:
- $8.00: Provides a nutritious breakfast for an Indigenous student starting their day with an empty stomach or $160 for 20 students This simple act of kindness ensures they can focus on learning, not hunger.
- $14.00: Provides a student a healthy lunch or $700.00 provides lunches for 50 students, directly addressing food insecurity and enabling them to learn without the distraction of hunger.
- $200.00: Offers an emergency food basket for an Indigenous family of three, giving them the sustenance and security they need during challenging times.
- $500.00: Facilitates a meaningful cultural teaching activity for an Indigenous classroom, nurturing their cultural roots and sense of community.
With your help, we can continue our four-decade legacy of making a tangible difference in the lives of Indigenous people in Winnipeg. Your contribution, no matter the size, is a step towards a future where the Indigenous community flourishes with opportunities and self-reliance. Join us in our mission of Creating Futures One Family at a Time.
