Overview

Experience what it’s like to “eat like a kid” for a great cause!

Collins Barrow Calgary is proudly partnering with Brown Bagging for Calgary Kids (BB4CK), a registered charity providing free, healthy lunches to 3800 kids daily in Calgary schools, who would otherwise go hungry.

To raise funds for this great organization, we’re selling sample lunches for $5 that have been prepared by students from SAIT, Mount Royal and U of C.  All funds raised go directly to BB4CK.

About This Charity

Through the work of community groups and volunteers, BB4CK provides lunches for approximately 3800 kids each school day. Lunches are prepared in the organization’s main kitchen and in various other locations by community groups including retirees, parent groups and local businesses. Nourishment is available to any young person who arrives at school without enough to eat. BB4CK works with school staff members to identify needs and to plan how best to make sure hungry students get the nutrition required to think clearly and learn. By enabling better education outcomes, BB4CK gives students a hand up, not just a handout.
