Border Regional Library’s purpose is to promote literacy, be it through multi-media resources, education, information, recreation.

• to be willing and adaptable to partnerships with other bodies
• to attempt to accommodate the needs of the community
• to create a broad awareness of library resources and to stimulate their use

• to assume a leadership role in the community in promoting literacy and fine arts
