Our Mission
Billy Bishop Museum is committed to preserving local history, including the childhood home of Victoria Cross recipient William Avery "Billy" Bishop. The Museum seeks to engage our community by connecting local stories to the Canadian war experience and broader currents of global history.
Our Purpose
The Museum’s exhibitions, collection, and publications will reflect historical and, when applicable, contemporary expression, both regionally and nationally, and will promote the energy and reckless free spirit that Billy Bishop embodied.
The Museum will also strive to ensure that the coming generations will continue to honour and remember the sacrifices made by all Veterans.
About Our Charity
All gifts to Billy Bishop Museum are used to preserve our collection, enhance our exhibits and develop our education programs. Gifts are also used to maintain and develop Veterans' programs to ensure that future generations never forget this legacy.
Any individual, family or group can specify if they would like their gift to be used to a specific purpose with our established areas including Veteran Programs, Educational Tours, Exhibits, and our Collection. If you wish your gift to be used towards another purpose, please contact us.
