Since 1979 Big Brothers Big Sisters of Prince George has been providing proactive mentors to children and youth living in our community.  We believe every child should have the opportunity to reach his or her full potential, both as individuals and citizens – that by doing so, they will not only do well, they will also do good.
Together we can create a legacy for our programs, our kids and our community.  We need your help to ensure each local child has a network of caring and consistent adults.

Big Brothers Big Sisters of Prince George wants to celebrate our 40th Anniversary in a BIG way!  We are asking citizen’s of Prince George to make a $40 tax deductible donation in support of our Mentoring Programs.  It is our goal to raise $40,000!  This will create more friendships, more confidence and more smiles for Prince George kids, while building a strong foundation for our agency and our programs. Your donation will be commemorated on our 40th Anniversary Legacy Wall that will be unveiled Fall 2019! 

Your donation will help change the course of young lives; and in turn change the course of our community’s future. It could lead to a reduction in poverty and unemployment. To safer schools and neighbourhoods. To a renewed optimism for growth. It could even lead to change on a broader, more far-reaching scale. 
As an adult, children who had a positive consistent mentor are
* 13% more likely to donate to charity and 20% more money donated    
* earning 13% more and 47% are holding management level positions    
* 50% more likely to volunteer and volunteer 30% more time 
* 80% more likely to pursue a healthy lifestyle
