Meghan's Magic Makers

Hiking was an integral part of her workouts and her mental health routine. She hiked to relieve stress, to celebrate achievements, to decompress. But true to her nature, she never took the easy trails. She wanted the challenge of climbing ever upwards from one elevation to the next, and the equally tricky descent - navigating rocks, ruts and loose footing.

These hikes were her way to empowerment, rejuvenation and solace.

Meghan showed the same determination in her life. She challenged herself to be the best she could be and dedicated herself to a life of service. She appreciated every opportunity she was provided, most monumental was a post-secondary scholarship that allowed her to attend College when she thought it wasn’t possible. That scholarship helped her to continue to soar and allowed her to achieve her goal to become a police officer. Her legacy will be to provide the same opportunity to other deserving youth.
