The Walk to Remember will take place on Sunday, May 16, 2021.  (virtually)

To start off the Walk to Remember we'll be offering a special video message from our Program Coordinator Cheryl Wituik at approximately 9:30am via Facebook & Instagram.

Then choose a location of your choice for your walk.

Virtual Wall of Memories

Walkers, Donors, Members - Honour your loved one(s) with a message and/or photo and/or small drawing on our Virtual Wall of Memories at our Bereaved Families website.  You can view the Virtual Wall of Memories by clicking here.

Photos / drawings and messages must be sent electronically via email to bflondon@rogers.com .  Please note in the subject line:  Memories... [your first and last name].  

We ask that messages be a maximum of 5 sentences, and that all photos and drawings are in jpeg format.  Depending on the level of requests we will do our best to post all within 2-3 working days of receipt.  We don't expect any issues, but do reserve the right to not post any images/messages that may be considered inappropriate.

If you would like us to post a message photo or drawing included in your individual Walker or Team profile please note this in your email.

Fundraising Tips & Notes

Be sure to set a fundraising goal!  It should be high enough to encourage donations, but low enough that it is attainable.

A strong Page or Team Name goes a long way.  Consider including call to action words such as "Please help" or "Help honour".  

Add photos or images.  It could be a photo of the loved one you are honouring, or something symbolic.

Make the first donation.  Start your fundraising by donating to yourself!  This helps create momentum for future donations.

It starts with an ask.  Reach out to friends, family, colleagues through emails, texts and social media.  Use the tools provided or send a personal note with a link to your page or the general event page... http://bfosw.ca/2021-walk-to-remember/

We encourage online donations which offer immediate tax receipts and social distancing.  However, if you have supporters who prefer cash or cheque donations you will be able to download a paper pledge form once you are registered or you can request one by emailing bflondon@rogers.com

Please submit donations by Monday, May 31st... although we will be accept donations up until Friday, June 11th towards our grand total.
